During Pastor Appreciation week, we’re spotlighting blogs from pastors with poignant messages of hope and thoughts about Christianity.

If one thinks that becoming a Christian will make everything easier, someone has lied to them.
Jesus told his followers to expect persecution.
The old battle between Good and evil has never been stronger. The world, the flesh, and the devil are still our worst enemies.
They are relentless in trying to stop our strongest efforts to do good and honor our God and Savior.
I wonder how the average person in the world who is not a follower of Jesus Christ would handle these kinds of situations.
A pastor friend of mine, had someone who was riding a motorcycle, pull beside him at a stop light and seeing his window down, spit in his face and then took off.
My friend took off after him and finally caught up with him at a parking lot. My friend was ready to attack the man with a tire iron.
Remember, my friend is a pastor.
As he approached the man who spit on him, he said he heard God plainly say to him, ‘What are you doing?” My friend stopped and put down the tire iron and told the man that God did not want him to retaliate.
Could a lost person do that?
