I write about the five essentials of Intentional Living in nearly everything I teach and share in our print and digital publications. Conversations about relationships are the centerpiece of our radio program, Intentional Living, as well.
Our ministry focuses on the five essentials because they’re important in helping you glorify God and bring you closer to Him.
When you have control over your faith, family, finances, health and work through good, intentional decisions, you’ll see a benefit in your life. Figure out what pleases the Lord, then do it.
If you’re a physical wreck, you can’t serve. If you’re broke, you can’t serve. If your family is a mess, you can’t serve. If you’re not faithful in your work, you’re not going to have an opportunity to serve at the potential that God has given you.
Does that make sense?
So when we talk about living an intentional life in these five essential areas, four of them—family, finances, health and work—lead to the fifth one, our faith. If you have a true, dynamic, intentional relationship with Christ, it should reveal itself in these other four areas.
As a follower of Christ, you should be continuing to progress in those other four areas of life, not because you’re better than anybody else, but because you’re hoping to bring glory to God, and benefit to yourself.
Take a moment and grade yourself. Think about where you stand, by assigning yourself a letter grade, in all of the essential areas of life. I would encourage you, to raise your “C” grades into “B’s.” Turn a “B” into an “A.”
You’re not doing this because you want God to love you more. You do this because you want to love Him more, and that’s the ultimate goal.
Intentional Living every day brings glory to Him, benefits to you and helps you finish strong. Commitment plus action equals Intentional Living.
That’s our message.
