Your Work

God Has Great Plans for You

Your work—or service—is the fifth essential area of life.

Living intentionally in the workplace is an opportunity to reflect your Christian character. Colossians 3:23 says, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men.”

You can find the purpose God has for you in your work. He has plans beyond your job description. So, ask God to set your sights above and beyond the goals in your performance management review—ask Him for something bold.

Benjamin Mays noted that, “the tragedy in life doesn’t lie in not reaching your goal. The tragedy lies in having no goal to reach.” Until you set your sights on an objective that is Christ-inspired—one that will stretch your faith, you will never experience the full measure of God’s power in your life.

And, as you define your career goals, included in the planning should be a commitment to working with integrity. We are to, “Figure out what pleases Christ, and then do it.” (Ephesians 5:10 The Message) We show our integrity when we’re honest and we do the right thing.

At Intentional Living, we help people live intentionally in their work as well as their faith, family, health and finances.

Now, we’re offering a new tool called The Intentional Journey that will help you experience God’s best in your life. It’s a series of lessons, based on Biblical principles, that guide you closer to God.

You can learn more and join us on The Journey. Your life will never be the same.
