Time Well Spent 250Time – and how you use it – is vital. How you use the time God gives you is important to Him, and Scripture reflects this. It’s part of living an intentional life. Just ask Solomon.

As the writer of Ecclesiastes, Solomon understood that “there is a time for everything, and a season for every activity.” (Ecclesiastes 3:1)

  • A time to weep – and a time to laugh
  • A time to love – and a time to hate
  • A time to tear down – and a time to build
  • A time to be born – and a time to die
The message is undeniable. Life is filled with many things, each of which must have their own time that doesn’t take time away from something else just as necessary.

It’s easy to take time for leisure and entertainment. These activities feel good emotionally and have a payoff that is immediately apparent. Not as easy, though, is to make appropriate time for pursuits that may not feel as good, but have a far greater payoff. Pursuits such as seeking God through

  • daily devotions,
  • prayer time,
  • attending church or a small,
  • being quiet and
  • listening for His voice.
As you begin to intentionally do these things, you’ll not only discover its time well spent, but you’ll find yourself more relaxed and at peace.
