Ann's Story

changed-lives-ann-252.jpgI've been overweight most of my life.

I remember when I was in school always being the heaviest girl in my class. But I was also active in all types of sports, loving to play basketball most. I even went on to play basketball in the small private college I attended, and then coached basketball and taught school for four years.

All through this time, and in the 30+ years since then, I never made any serious attempt to lose weight and become healthier.

But I finally reached that point, and intentionally started working out almost every day as well as joining [a well-known weight loss program] to help me reach my goal. Through my intentional approach to this, I have lost almost 72 pounds so far.

I know I have a long way to go to get my body into a condition that is healthy, but I'm very intentional about this and consider Family Life Communications as the primary source for this intentionality.

I've even begun sharing the eDevotional with my co-workers.

But what I've learned is that everything I do requires intentionality. It doesn't come naturally and I have to be committed to stick to it.

That is what being intentional is all about.
