Renae's Story

When Renae started using the principle
of One Thing, everything began to change.

Using the Principle of One Thing

I felt like I had unraveled and simply had “checked out” on life. When I found your ministry on the radio, it was like I had rediscovered an old friend. I’d listened before, but when I started to learn about the principle of One Thing, everything began to change.

As I listened, I realized that much of my turmoil stemmed from grief over so many transitions that had taken place. I began to use the principle of One Thing to decide each day what I would do about my grief. Some days it meant to intentionally cry, mourn or write it out. Some days it meant to find a friend to talk it out.

Eighteen months later, my heart and mind healed, my physical body is in shape and my marriage is intact. And, as my life began to come back together, I realized that my One Thing changed from, “What One Thing can I do today that will change the rest of my life” to, “What One Thing can I do today to change someone else’s life?”

My One Thing is no longer about me anymore. I have nobody to thank for this other than God, because He had to open my heart and mind to hear. I’m blessed to have the opportunity to listen each single day.
