Finding that One Thing

I am the sponsor for a young gentleman in the 12-step program of Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). Recently, following an AA meeting, he informed me that he had been late three times for his new job and that his supervisor gave him a verbal warning. If he was late a fourth time, he would be disciplined.

As a result of listening to your program and advice, the Holy Spirit prompted me to ask him what One Thing he could do to address the problem instead of getting bogged down with a lot of emotional or psychological stuff.

He decided that setting a fixed bedtime was something he could do for the next 30 days. The whole concept of focusing on one intentional thing really seemed to spark a sense of hope and confidence in him.

Praise God! I just wanted to thank you for your ministry and for tools that we amateurs can use out here in the trenches.
